SARS-Co-V-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19 illness) is a respiratory virus that spreads primarily through droplets during person-to-person contact. According to guidance from the CDC, the most important actions you can take to minimize the spread of the disease are the following:
- Physical distancing - maintain at least 6 feet between you and other people
- Don’t work / go out if you are sick - Know the symptoms like fever, cough, body aches, shortness of breath (see CDC)
- Handwashing - Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.
- Use good personal hygiene - sneeze into a tissue - cover your cough, and wash your hands after sneezing or coughing.
- Clean and sanitize - high-touch areas to minimize the spread via surfaces.
- Wear a mask/ facial covering- to prevent the spread of the virus, since you might not have symptoms.
Safety Requirements/ Information: for CSA
*Applies to Everyone Regardless of Vaccine Status*
- All Bags at the cooler pick up are labeled so you should only need to touch your own bag.
- All produce requiring washing before pick up will be washed in accordance with Mass COVID-19 guidelines. Present research does not support that produce transmits COVID-19 but general food safety guidelines advise that all produce should be washed by the consumer before consumption.
- For all pick-ups: Masks are not required but use your best judgement. If you are sick consider either scheduling with me for a different pick up option or wear a mask. This is just a common courtesy for myself and your other CSA members. Rest assured I will provide you with that same courtesy.
- All surfaces will be appropriately disinfected/ sanitized. While I am a Farmer and take too much pleasure in soil and dirt, I am not a fan of harmful bacteria- there is a difference.
- To further reiterate- If you are feeling sick, or any other symptoms- seasonal allergies aside- please do not pick your vegetables. Your health and the health of others in our community is of the greatest importance. Please either send someone else to pick up your vegetables or we can work out a delivery on an as needed basis.

- Hand sanitizer will be provided at the market upon entering the Skip's Place area.
- Masks are not required but are also not frowned upon. Use your best judgement.
- All surfaces will be disinfected/ sanitized prior to, during and after the market.
- If you are feeling sick, or any other symptoms- seasonal allergies aside- please do not got to the Farmer's Market or other public area. Your health and the health of others in our community is of the greatest importance. Please either send someone else to pick up your vegetables or we can work out a delivery on an as needed basis.
- Any other rules/ regulations set by the Farmer's Market will be strictly adhered to.
Farm Practices
Skip's Place presently operates on shared Farmland with two other farms. The water and large heavy machinery are shared but other facilities such as the greenhouses, coolers are not. Measures are always taken and maintained to prevent cross contamination between farms.
