General COVID-19 Information:

Additional Information

SARS-Co-V-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19 illness) is a respiratory virus that spreads primarily through droplets during person-to-person contact. According to guidance from the CDC, the most important actions you can take to minimize the spread of the disease are the following:

  1. Physical distancing - maintain at least 6 feet between you and other people
  2. Don’t work / go out if you are sick - Know the symptoms like fever, cough, body aches, shortness of breath (see CDC)
  3. Handwashing - Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.
  4. Use good personal hygiene - sneeze into a tissue - cover your cough, and wash your hands after sneezing or coughing.
  5. Clean and sanitize - high-touch areas to minimize the spread via surfaces.
  6. Wear a mask/ facial covering- to prevent the spread of the virus, since you might not have symptoms.

Skip's Place presently operates on shared Farmland with several other farms.  The facilities such as the greenhouses, cooler space, and tools are also shared.  Measures have been and are being taken to insure social distancing and sanitization practices and standard operating procedures are maintained to prevent cross contamination between farms.

-Only 2 farms are allowed to be using the greenhouse space and wash station at the same time.  Farms are expected to sign up ahead of time so a record exists for contact tracing.

-Sanitization SOP's are followed for all shared equipment before and after use.

-OMRI approved cleaners and sanitizers are used.

-Masks are worn while inside all structures whether this a a barn/ greenhouse/ cooler space.  Masks are worn in field when activities do not allow for social distancing.
